  1. 1. 3x + 7h + y - (-8k) - 11x +65 y + (-40k)

             -   first you will perform the operation needed in the sentence

                        # combine like terms ,thus:

              first_       3x - 11x = -8x

second_       7h will be remain on its own value

             third_       +y + 65y =66y

             forth_       -(-8k) + (-40k) = -32k

so the final answer would be

                  -9x + 7h + 66y -32k

thats it hope I made a help to you ...gudluck:)

  2. Here, you just have to collect similar terms. Similar terms have the same literal part; in this expression, the literal parts are x, h, y and k.

    Thus,

    3x + 7h + y - (-8k) - 11x +65 y + (-40k)

    = 3x - 11x + 7h + y + 65y - (-8k) + (-40k)

    = -8x + 7h + 66y + 8k - 40k

    = -8x + 7h + 66y - 32k Answer

  3. -8x+66y-32k+7h = 0

  4. 3x + 7h + y - (-8k) - 11x +65 y + (-40k)

    3x - 11x + y + 65 y + 7h - (-8k) + (-40k)

    - 8x + 66y + 7h - 32k
