(x+1)........(5x).......1

--------- = -------- + -------

(3x-6)........(6).....(x-2)

this is what i have so far..not sure if its right htough

(x+1)(2)......5x(x-2)......1(6)

------------ = ----------- + -----------

(3x-6)(2)......6(x-2) .....(x-2)(6)

(2x+2).....(5x^2-10x) ......6

---------- = -------------- + ------------

(6x-12)......(6x-12).......(6x-12)

(x+1)......(5x^2-10x+6)

---------= --------------------

(3x-6)........(6x-12)

  1. ok

so i did what u did up till the second to last step.

From there, i canceled out the denominators which made it turn out like 2x +2 = 5x^2 - 10x + 6. I canceled out the denominators  because they dont matter since both sides of the equation have the same denominators.

Then, i subtracted 6 from both sides of the equation making it, 2x-4=5x^2 - 10. Then after that, i factored both sides of the equation by turning the equation into 2(x-2) = 5x(x-2). From there, i divide both sides by (x-2). After that, u get 2=5x. so x =0.4 or 2/5

    So basically you just do:

      (x+1)........(5x).......1

    --------- = -------- + ------

      (3x-6)........(6).....(x-2)

      (x+1)(2)......5x(x-2)......1(6)

      ------------ = ----------- + -----------

      (3x-6)(2)......6(x-2) .....(x-2)(6)

       (2x+2).....(5x^2-10x) ......6

      ---------- = -------------- + ------------

       (6x-12)......(6x-12).......(6x-12)

       2x +2 = 5x^2 - 10x + 6.

      2x-4=5x^2 - 10

    2(x-2) = 5x(x-2)

      2=5x

      so x =0.4 or 2/5

    I hope that helped ^_^

  2. Cross multiply.

    (x+1)(6x-12)=(3x-6)(5x^2-10x+6)

    You figure out the rest.

  3. you multiply the tops of both by (6x-12) and then that equals like 2x blah blah something lol sry i tried!!
