Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen bag Men’s Doubles title at European Championships 2012
Denmark’s top shuttler Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen proved their domination in Europe when they bagged Women’s Doubles title at the European Championships 2012 on Saturday, April 21, in Sweden.
In the final encounter, Boe and Mogensen showed their impressive performance and toppled Germany’s Michael Fuchs and Oliver Roth in a tremendous fashion.
The World Number 3 Boe and Mogensen, who were top seeds in the tournament, did not face any problem throughout their journey to glory at European Championships and claimed the crown in an impressive manner.
In the final contest, Boe and Mogensen were on a different level as they played with superb control and thrashed their rivals in straight games while working for just 34 minutes in the court.
On the other hand, Fuchs and Roth could not live up to expectations as they were no match to their higher ranked opponents and lost the final match without taking even a single game from Danish pair.
In the opening set, Boe and Mogensen did not take much time in occupying the driving seat and they played with impressive precision.
Until the one-minute interval in this Men’s Doubles final contest, Boe and Mogensen managed to take a comfortable lead on the board.
After the break, Fuchs and Roth put in everything they had in their possession to stop the progressive run of their higher ranked Danish rivals but failed to take any benefit as Boe and Mogensen were on a different level.

In the second set, Fuchs and Roth tried to play fast badminton at net but their rivals were quicker in taking the bird early form all areas and they managed to take sensational lead until the break.
After the mid-game interval, Boe and Mogensen continued earning points without losing their grip on the pace of rallies.
The top seeds were quite consistent in the court and took the second set with a 21-11 score on the board.
Boe and Mogensen won the Men’s Doubles crown after taming Fuchs and Roth in the title match with a striking margin of 21-11 and 21-11.
