The Danish shuttler was impressive on the qualifying day when he won all of his matches without dropping even a single set to any of his opponents.
In his match against the local shuttler, Mundbjerg put up remarkable show of flawless badminton and managed to win the contest in straight games by working for just 21 minutes in the court.
On the other hand, Mitja could not stretch his winning run in qualifying round as he failed to match the speed and perfection of his foreign challenger and lost to him easily with a one-sided score on the board.
In the opening game, Mundbjerg found a perfect start as he established his domination in the court from starting points and took a reasonable lead.
In the meanwhile, Mitja tried to play attacking badminton but failed to take the bird early and remained struggling in the court.

After the break, the in-form Danish shuttler continued his killing run in the court as he did not show any mercy to his challenger.
Mundbjerg stretched his lead with an impressive ease and won the opening game with a one-sided score of 21-10.
In the second game, Mitja showed a little aggression in opening points but failed to live up to expectations of his home fans because his Danish rival took over the control of rallies.
Mundbjerg sailed smoothly as he did not face any resistance in the court and managed a huge gap on the score board until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Mundbjerg remained fully focused and continued playing attacking badminton.
He was everywhere in the court and easily bagged the second set with a remarkable score of 21-12.
