The France international has attracted a lot of suitors in recent times, with Newcastle United keen to secure the signature of the player.
LOSC Lille want at least 8 million Euros for their star player, who put in a number of impressive performances for Les Bleus at Euro 2012. The Ligue 1 outfit has already rejected Newcastle’s initial offer for the right-back but are bracing for a fresh bid
from the Premier League outfit.
According to reports, Newcastle United have already made an improved bid for the highly-rated defender, and Les Dogues are seriously considering accepting their offer this time.
A source close to Lille president, Michel Seydoux, revealed that the Magpies have made another offer for Debuchy, this time with improved terms.
“It has been revised upwards. While the first proposal of the Magpies was 6 million Euros, including bonuses, it is this time 6 million Euros, with a percentage for resale to the LOSC,” revealed the source.
The source stated that the English club is still not willing to meet the club’s demands for the 27-year-old but they have inserted the option of resale that will benefit Lille in the end.
