Following a successful spell with Lille, the highly-rated France international has expressed his desire to test his skills in the Premier League
26-year-old right-back, Mathieu Debuchy, who scored his maiden international goal in France’s 3-2 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iceland-c2921 in Euro warm-up match, has set his sights on playing abroad, with England his preferred destination.
After a successful campaign with Lille, who finished third in Ligue 1, Debuchy has informed media that he would like to move to English Premier League. While talking to reporters, the France international claimed that playing in Premier League has always
appealed him and the time is right for him to fulfill his dream of playing there.
When asked about his possible transfer to England, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Debuchy-c24682 said, “"I would really like to, why not go and see what it is like to play for a club abroad. Other leagues please me as well, but I really like the English style. However, I don't know any
more than that, I haven't discussed anything with my club.”
However, the France international rubbished reports claiming that he has already agreed personal terms with a club. At the moment, Mathieu Debuchy is solely focusing on upcoming Euros and nothing has been decided about his future.
While talking to reporters, Lille fullback said that if he stays at Les Dogues for another season, he wouldn’t mind and will give his best for the club.
"At the moment I am preparing for the Euros and I will leave my agents to deal with such matters. If I stay at Lille, I will be happy as well."
It is expected that LOSC Lille will listen to offers for the 26-year-old, who has stayed loyal to them through thick and thin. A product of Lille youth system, Debuchy is all set to move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 with many clubs fighting to attain his services.
Mathieu Debuchy has attracted a lot of interest from English Premier League giants Manchester United. However, Newcastle United are the front runners in the race to sign the defender.
