The Lille full-back has warned Spain to expect a rejuvenated France side as Les Bleus prepare to take on the reigning world champions in the crunch World Cup qualifier
The 27-year-old is upbeat about his side’s chances against La Roja when the two sides meet at Santiago Bernabeu next Tuesday.
Last time these two teams met was in the quarterfinals of Euro 2012, when Spain comfortably won the match, eliminating Les Bleus from the competition.
However, Debuchy believes that things would be different this time around as France have improved a lot.
While talking to reporters ahead of his side’s friendly against reigning Asian champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928, the right-back said that Les Bleus are a completely different team now with a new coach at the helm.
The Frenchman added that they will make things difficult for Spain and Didier Deschamps’ side has every chance of getting maximum points at Madrid on Tuesday.
"There have been many changes in the group, with new staff and a new coach.”
When asked about Les Bleus’ game plan against the reigning World and European champions, Debuchy said that it’s up to the coach to take a decision regarding that and he is only looking to get a positive result on Tuesday.
"I do not know whether we need to try something new against Spain, we'll let the coach decide. We will work this week to become dangerous (so we can) bring something back from there.”
On a question regarding Spain’s recent form, the 27-year-old stated that he hasn’t watched La Roja play recently but added that he is familiar with their style of play.
"I have not watched Spain's latest games but I do not think they have changed a lot of players, and they have the same philosophy of playing we know about.”
Debuchy added that despite winning so much in recent years, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international is optimistic about Les Bleus’ chances of getting all three points against Del Bosque’s side
on Tuesday.
"We know this is a very good team playing very good football and they remain the best nation."
