The Marseille midfielder has expressed his views over the reserves’ frustration of not getting more game-time and claimed that it would not pose any problem for Les Bleus in Euro 2012
Earlier today, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jeremy-Menez-c18345 expressed his frustration over lack of playing time and the French media claimed that this issue would hurt France’s hopes of winning the tournament.
Jeremy Menez let his displeasure show in an interview when asked about lack of game time in the competition. However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Valbuena-c24690 has rejected those claims and declared that the issue is of a non-serious nature.
Like Menez, Valbuena has also failed to cement his place in Laurent Blanc’s starting line-up and failure to get more time on the field has left the player frustrated.
The Frenchman stated that not playing regularly is really hard for players as nobody wants to warm the bench in a tournament like this. The Frenchman finds it hard to be in a role of understudy but accepted that this would not affect on team’s harmony.
The 27-year-old believes that playing at international level is not just restricted to 11 players playing on the pitch but the whole squad has something to offer to the team. Valbuena stressed that not finding game-time is one thing but the needs of the
team always come first.
"Of course one prefers to start, and that goes for all of the players. But above all, we are living a human adventure.”
Mathieu Valbuena stated that in such competitions, it is not possible for all the players to play so it is necessary for them to be ready when their services are required. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international said that it’s Laurent Blanc’s decision to decide on a player’s
participation in the match.
“It is well known that in a competition like this, some players will play and others will not. It is just necessary to be ready when we are called. I think that 'ready' is the key word there. It's a competition and there are certain starters, but the situation
could still change. Decisions may come from the bench. We will need everyone and it is important to always bear that in mind."
France will take on dangerous looking co-hosts http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 in their next group match on Friday.
