Maths AS level outstanding or average result?

275 out of 300. (C1: 97, C2:93, M1:85)

I'm revising twice as much now but need to know if I need x percent to stand out as an applicant for a maths degree in a years time

  1. I'm pretty sure they won't even look at your percentage-they'll only care what grade you have. They don't make offers based on percentages, only on your grades and UCAS points.


  2. Average?!?!? what the h**l? you got an A!! Well above an A, 35 marks over the boundary.

    Universities will not know your UMS marks, unless you're applying to Cambridge or Oxford.

    Well done on your grade....you should be please with it, I got a C in maths and I'm gutted.  

  3. well thats an A isnt it? and on your ucas application you'll just put your grade, not your score. so it wouldnt matter if you'd got 300/300 or you'd just scraped an A..  

  4. i got 293 in my AS and 290 in my A2    i would say that you are fine as long as you stay above the 90% average :)
