  1. a) mean wt = 81.5 kg

    2288 kg / (81.5 kg / swimmer) = 28 swimmers

    b) % = 6/29 x 100 = 20.7%

  2. a) The mean of data is an average of the data. So the answer is;

    2288 ÷ 81.5 = 28.07361963... There are about 28 swimmers in the team.

    b) 6 / 29 x 100 = 20.68965517... About 20.7 % (2dp)

  3. a) use the equation total weight/number of swimmers = mean weight.  Plug in the numbers you already know and rearrange the equation to solve for the number of swimmers.

    b) The question is saying 6 is what percentage of 29.  To get percentage, use the equation 6/29 x 100%

  4. a ) no of swimmers=2288/81.5=28  no

    b) (6/29)*100=20.6896%
