  1. "Inst. Own" probably stands for "institutionally owned", which means the percentage of shares owned by mutual funds and pension funds, and not individual investors.

Many companies pay a portion of their profits as "dividends". If you own 1% of the company, then you would get 1% of the dividends that they pay.
