  1. 1) 2n + 1, this is very basic sequence of odd number. not sure how to explain it to you. try this, if n =1, then 2(1)+1=3; if n=2, then 2(2)+1=5 and so on ~~ notice: 2n is an even number, so even number + 1 is odd number ~~

    2) notice, each number is multiple of 4, so we have 4n. since the first term is 6, so 6=4(1)+b implies the constant b is 2. Therefore, we have 4n+2.

    3) try this one before you see the answer. math is something that you need to try yourself.

ans: 3n-1, why ? each term is increasing by 3, so we have 3n. since each term is 1 less than 3n, so we have 3n-1.
