Question:

Matlab help with plotting?

Hi,

I am trying to plot concentrations of a tracer at various locations in space:

I have one column for latitude, one for longitude and one with concentrations in at each station location. These locations are randomly located in space (throughout northern europe to be precise) - I need to try and plot these concentrations: I then need to be able to determine an isoline for a particular concentration and then calculate the area inside this line (in order to calculate figure of merit in space). Any ideas how to tackle any parts of this problem?!

Thanks.

  1. what

  2. Its much easier and intuitive if you do it in an Arc environment however, display based on Lat/Long (X,Y) then create isobars based on the concentration attribute.  Find the values that you want and then calculate area.  Its quite simple actually.
