Mats Sundin or Joe Sakic?

Right now i would take Sundin. But Sakic is very close after. my reasons for Sundin is that he is a two way player. he can play defence and offence. He also has a great amount of leadership not saying Sakic dosen't! This is just my opinion though!

Both are incredible players and leaders but I would take Sundin, although my answer is biased.

You keep saying that... i keep seeing no evidence the rangers want forsberg.

Sakic is the better player, but Mats is younger (though not much)... I'd take sundin right now, I think.

Just kidding.   At this point, I'd take Sundin, in a heartbeat.  

Sakic looked anemic during the playoffs.....it was kind of sad.   He'd be very lucky to crack the second line on any NHL team.

Sundin has a a year or two left and could be very effective on the right team.

PS.....one of the big reasons Sundin is the easy choice here is because of DEFENSIVE play.   Sakic doesn't do it.  Sundin does.   In their prime, with the current NHL rules (theoretically), Sakic would be incredible, but Sundin is just clearly, CLEARLY....the better commodity right now.

Sundin.  If he could motivate a team as hopeless as the Leafs were into one final push at the end of the season there he can motivate anyone.

Sakic.  Sundin isn't a bad player, but I'd take Sakic in a heartbeat.

Glad Sundin stuck around for the last six weeks of the season and did such a crackerjack job...never mind.

I'd say Sundin...and I understand your point that the Rangers get all the oldies on there way back over the hill. Such as Wayne,Mess, Jags,Graves,Shanny, and many many more.

Joe Sakic is my second favorite player to ever wear #19 and is easily in my top 10 best players I have personally seen play the game.

I am getting kind of tired of the Sundin hype.  Also where are you finding the Rangers are interested in Forsberg?  Why would they want a guy who sat out half the year last year, then signed with the Avs, then essentially sat out the rest of the year with more injuries?

Sakic is the better player.

Even right now with Sundin being a couple of yrs younger I still take Sakic.  More of a leader than Sundin. generally better point producer.
