I think Montreal because he wants to win and he doesn't really need the money so in that situation they are the best choice.

well you might suppose that obviously hes going to vancouver because their offering him the highest salary but Mat himself said that he would like to stay in toronto even though their salary isnt as high as the canucks or tha habs because it feels like home to him. no one realy knoes whats going on because just recently swedish newspapers anounced that he would be playing in the swedish hockey league and peeple are saying that it was a bribe made by the canucks general manager. no one knows if this is the truth or just another dumb rumour. Reely in my opinion its not reely a big concern because mat is just going to retire in 1 or 2 years anyway

Where ever he goes there is one thing that is for certain, they are way overpaying him...good God!!!  I mean what, 78 points last year?!?!  He is getting more dollars per point that Alex Ovechkin....like I said WAY overpaid.  I need his agent to renegotiate my contract here at work if thats the worth he is getting Sundin.  I think he's staying in Canada because of centrailzed medicine so he doesn't have to pay out of pocket for all of his injuries this year.  Isn't it hard to shoot using a walker????

I wouldn't be suprised if he choose Montreal,

they will be a cup contender team next year for sure.

If he wants to win the Stanley Cup, why not go there?

I'd like to think Toronto after he ranted about wanting to finish his career with the Maple Leafs as justification for not waiving his no-trade.  Realistically i'd say he goes to Vancouver.

I see him on the Rangers: because Vancouver hasn't spent that kind of money on anyone (that I know of - admittingly I don't watch the salaries as closely as some of you), but I do know that Gainey will hesitate to spend 8M on an aging premadonna, and he has too much of an ego to remain a Leaf.

Another issue which you guys seem to overlook, is that both he and Koivu are used to being in charge. Even if they have played their NHL careers in Canada, there is still immense national pride at stake. (Koivu being a Finn, and Mats a Swede)
