Matsui plasma tv

Question

when turning off my tv i normaly just flick the power switches on the plugs, i rarely use the on off button on the set, since new (about 2 years) i have used the set switch about 20 times. i turned the set off the other night and then wen i came to turn it on the on off switch wouldnt click in and activate the set to come on. i have tried pressing it a million times and nothing is happening?? can you suggest anything?
