Matt Mee and Emma Norris of Red Warf Bay Sailing Club win 5th round of RS200 SEAS Open
Red Wharf Bay Sailing Club’s sailors, Matt Mee and Emma Norris showed a great deal of determination combined with an excellent sailing performance, as they managed to grab the fifth round of RS200 SEAS Open at Queen Mary Sailing Club. The pair grabbed three
race victories in the sailing event to hit the top spot with 3 points after four races and one discard.
The 25 boat fleet started the race under lighter weather conditions, as the winds did not co-operate with the participants. The wind remained lighter and shifted all day, which was of no help for the sailors at all. However, despite such unfavourable forecast,
sailors still managed to produce an impressive sail during the event.
Netley Sailing Club’s Ben McGrane and Roz Allen finished second in the event with seven points while Ian Martin and Ally Martin from Burghfield Sailing Club took third position after scoring nine points in four races and one discard.
