Bopara could rue his missed opportunities at the Oval, after the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 suffer one of their most humiliating defeats in years on home soil. The right-hand batsman only managed the scores of 0 and 22
and conceded 78 runs in 18 overs to wrap up a poor Test match.
This has been the 27-year-old’s fourth recall to the English squad, but the batsman has failed to capitalise on the given opportunities raising questions on his utility as a dependable batsman, the Londoner now averages a paltry 31.94 in 13 Tests.
The English management has serious concerns over the vulnerability of its lower-order and despite trying several options they have failed to find a useful answer for their batting woes.
However, Prior feels that the struggling batsman has the talent and he has a proven record when he struck three centuries against the West Indies in 2009.
"http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RD-Shah-c2298 is a very talented batter and I think it's only a matter of time before he puts that big performance in the Test arena," Prior said yesterday.

Jonny Bairstow was also given a chance against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, but the young batsman’s limitations against the short-pitch delivery were exposed by the Windies pace attack, which eventually led to the inclusion of Bopara.
"He has scored three hundreds already so we know he can do it, he knows he can do it. He has just got to go out and show everyone he has what it takes," Prior said.
The 30-year-old wicket-keeper said that English batsman needs to stay on the pitch if they want to make the most of the given chances and level the series at Headingley - something they failed to do at the Oval.
"Some of the batters got out to soft dismissals," Prior said. "When you get a team in the position we had them in [in the first innings] then you have to go on and make a big score. We didn't do that.”
