http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Prior-c1984 determined for a rebirth in England ODI team- Cricket News Update
England’s Test wicket-keeper, Matt Prior, has issued a warning to the Poms current One-Day International keeper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/C-Kieswetter-c1206.
The 29-year-old glove man announced that he is determined for a rebirth in England’s ODI outfits, and for the very purpose he is putting a lot of effort in his game.
Prior, who plays for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sussex-c852 in the English County division, lost his place to Kieswetter after the conclusion of ICC World Cup 2011, as selectors opted to pump some young blood into the side.
Expressing his desire to play for England, Prior said, “Of course I want to win back that ODI spot. Whenever you see England playing you want to be part of that team and I want to be keeping wicket for whichever team walks out
on the pitch. I will be pushing hard and hopefully one day they will turn around and give me another go.”
England’s cricket team is currently on tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033, where they play against Pakistan in three Tests, four ODI’s
and Three T20s.
The South African born cricketer, Prior, has been away from cricket for well over a month. The wicket-keeper has set his eyes on the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and hopes all this lay-off from cricket helps him in fighting his way back into
the side.
“It's great to see young guys coming in and doing well. I've been staying away from cricket. I've just been spending time playing golf and being with my family. That's the best way I can prepare for the Pakistan series as you
need to have some down time,” said Prior.
England at present is the number one side in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Test rankings. They have been dominating Test cricket in the last couple of years. The 29-year-old advised the English team not to become complacent and continue on their winning
run.
Prior wants England to imitate the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 team of 80’s and Australian team of 90’s. He wishes to build a similar legacy for the English team and backs the current squad to do just that.
