However, he is disappointed with England’s performance in the recently concluded ICC World T20 2012 and revealed that some of his fans wanted him in the T20 squad.
Prior expressed, “Since I last played for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 I’ve been working seriously hard on my fitness — it’s the best I’ve ever felt. When England played I had tweets from supporters asking if I had retired from Twenty20 internationals — I haven’t!”
The wicketkeeper/batsman has represented England in 58 Tests, 68 One Day Internationals and 10 T20s, having scored almost four and a half thousand runs with the help of six centuries and 25 fifties.
The seasoned player is confident about regaining his place in the limited-over versions and claims that his body can bear the burden of all three formats at the same time.
“It’s nice that people are asking that, but on the other hand it’s the last thing I want anyone to think. Some lump one-day cricket and Twenty20 together, but they are very different and my record in the lathttp://www.senore.com/Cricket/Thomas-George-Burrows-c93472er stands up well. I don’t know what the management are thinking, but I am 100 per cent available,” he added.
