Matt Prior says that England will not show any mercy in The Ashes series
England wicketkeeper, Matt prior has said that England will not show any mercy in the Ashes series. The Ashes series so far has been an eventful one for England, as they have been able to dominate the Aussies in the series.
The first three days of the Brisbane Test belonged to the Aussies, but after that it has been England all the way. They have been able to come on top of their game in every session. England did bounce back from their first innings of Brisbane Test, and the
way they bounced really shows their spirit and character as a team.
The same fact was highlighted by their coach Andy Flower after the Brisbane Test, and the performance by their top batsmen really showed the character of their players. In the second Test, England overpowered the Aussies in every department, and it looked
like they were playing with some second category team.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s performance was filled with ups and down in the Brisbane Test, and at one time they had England battling to save the match, while in the second innings of England they were finding it too hard to dismiss the English batsmen. But credit must go
to English team, as they have not looked back to the first innings of Brisbane Test and have improved and progressed.
The momentum is certainly with the English players and they do show a lot of hunger to continue this momentum in their favour.  England’s wicketkeeper has said that there would be no complacency on England’s part to retain the Ashes.
England certainly is no mood to lay back in the Ashes series, and vows to continue their fight till they win the series. Unlike the previous English sides, this English team is focused and consistent. England has not lost a Test series for more than a year,
and most of their players are in good form.
Matt Prior was a bit cautious of England’s success rate, and said that they don’t want to fall in a trap where they are giving a lot of credit to themselves. It has been observed in the past, that sides that are performing well for a period of time do get
over confident of their performances and tend to lose focus in the series.
Australia is one side which can come back at any time and all it takes is couple of players to regain their form. Australia would also be hoping that their bowling and batting clicks for them in Perth. If bowlers fire at the right time for the Aussies, and
Michael http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 and Ricky Ponting can score centuries in Perth than it would be a different ball game all together.
Matt Prior was of the view that that England’s tour has gone well so far, but they would have to make sure that they go 2-0 up in the series. He also said that at the moment their focus is on tomorrows match with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Victoria-c859 Bushrangers. He further said that
the last day of the Adelaide Test was the proudest moment for him on a cricket pitch.
