Matt Riddle: For Dan Hardy bout is certainly a lose-lose scenario as I can beat him easily – UFC News
Matt Riddle is eyeballing Dan Hardy as in a recent media interaction, the American lad pinpointed that Dan understands that he can pummel him, can strike him, and probably will hurt him with nasty elbows, adding that it is sorely a lose-lose scenario for
the former contender.
The 26-year-old Riddle is coming off a spectacular win over respectable name in UFC’s welterweight division Chris Clements. Despite being the least favourite, the young lad was not only able to defy all odds and nullify the experienced Chris’ moves but also
ended the bout in a classic manner via submission.
The win has definitely gave much confidence to the Pennsylvanian lad and in a recent media interaction the Throwdown Association’s welterweight explained as to why Dan is thumbing down a bout with him.
Matt was of the view that Hardy is well aware of his capability and talent, adding that the Brit knows he can hurt him big time with nasty elbow shots. Riddle predicted, “I would destroy him. He knows it. He knows it's a bad matchup for him, and I'd probably
strike with him, put him on his back occasionally, and probably hurt him with some really nasty elbows.”
Also known as ‘Deep Waters’, Matt commented that Dan pronounces the bout with him as lose-lose situation, adding that he must know that it will definitely be a lose-lose scenario but only for him as far as he is concerned he will come out of the octagon
victorious.
Matt stated, “I know Dan was saying there’s no point for me to fight him, it’s a lose-lose for him. And you know what, it is a lose-lose for him, but it’s a win-win for me.”
When asked as to what he thinks about the false judgement made by the bout-referee, Matt commented that he is not angry at all, adding that the official has already apologised for the mishap.
Matt commented, “He apologized to me probably about 30 or 40 times, and I was just like, 'Honestly, man, no worries.'”
It must be reminded, that in the first round against bout with Chris, Riddle connected a powerful body kick that was mistakenly treated as a below the belt shot. If judged well the bout would have ended via TKO in just the first round.
As for now, no comments have been aired by Dan in reply to the above jabbering. Matt is currently enjoying his recent win and will go on a brief break to recuperate from possible injuries and spend the extra $65,000 that he collected by winning the submission
of the night honour.
