  1. True

  2. False.   Matter can be destroyed...of course it can.   Other wise there would be no such thing as bombs and broken glass.

Energy is the thing that cannot be destroyed.  Energy cannot be destroyed only converted to other forms of energy.

I am completely floored by these answers. i think everyone knows the answer they just read the question wrong

  3. True. This is the result of the law of

conservation of energy (the first law of thermodynamics).

Energy can take different forms: kinetic energy, mechanical energy,

    heat energy,electromagnetic energy,etc. Please note,

when one form is turned into another, there is a loss to

the "heat energy form". This is the result of the second

law of thermodynamics. Thus, the universe appears to be

headed toward the "heat energy form" sometime in the

distant future. Please note, matter and energy

are equivalent: E=MC^2: Basically, the same thing!

The total amount of matter (energy) in the universe,

    by law, will never change.

  4. True, not just thermodynamics, but most sciences believe this and preach this.

  5. True - it can however be lost........ ;-)

  6. True. "In any process, the total energy of the universe remains the same."

First law of thermodynamics. Nothing can truly be destroyed.
