"That is the secret of success. No one can rest, just like last year. Mario had a great three years at Bayern with a superb goal average - but the other strikers have that now too,” he mused.
The former player conceded that he cannot choose between the three attackers, as they are all different to each other. He admitted that Gomez is a natural scorer, but he will now have to face healthy competition to get a starting
berth. He said that last season, his cover was the young Nils Petersen.
"We know he [Gomez] scores goals, but he has to face competition. Last year the competition was Nils Petersen. And now? All three have a nose for goal and are forwards on a similar level,” he stated.
