Lothar Matthaus insisted that many are predicting favourites for the tournament later this year and he predicted that Germany are surely the frontrunners at this point. He admitted that the team has been performing brilliantly

The former midfielder added that reigning champions Spain will also be amongst the favourites to win this year’s title. He admitted that La Roja cannot be left out as they are a team with some world-class players who can win the
game on their day.

On the other hand, the 51-year old insisted that teams from Spain and Germany are the two countries who have been doing brilliantly in the UEFA Champions League as well. He claimed that Bayern Munich have reached the European final
for two times in three years which shows the quality players they have.

most of their stars are in great form,” he concluded.
Germany will play their first game against Portugal in Arena Lviv on June 9 before taking on Netherlands on June 13 in one of the most awaited clashes of the tournament.
