Wade thinks that he has become a much better cricketer after experiencing the international sport for more than a year. The left-handed batsman knows that doing well in the first-class matches leading to the South Africa series will guarantee him a place in the Test side.
"I feel comfortable within the Australian setup now, I understand what they're all about and what we're trying to do," said Wade. "It's all about performance from here on in. I've got two more Shield games before the Tests and if I can perform in them, hopefully I'll get picked.”
Playing for Victoria last week against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Queensland-c834 at Brisbane, Wade scored a vital 89 off just 175 balls with the help of 10 boundaries, helping his team win by 10 wickets. The keeper is delighted with his current form and is confident of delivering the goods, if given a chance against the Proteas.
"I can only do what I can control. It was nice to come home early and play at the Gabba and get some runs there. I feel like I'm doing everything I can, I'm playing to the best of my ability," he added.
