Healy, who is considered to be one of the best wicketkeepers produced by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, criticised the youngster and asked the selectors to try a new face or recall Haddin.
Wade expressed that he is taking the criticism positively and will look to improve in the future endeavours. The cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tasmania-c854 was all praise for Healy and admitted that the former player has been a great servant of the Aussie cricket.
“I suppose it would have been easy for me to get grumpy about it. But I took it on board and I've tried to work on a few things. He's one of the best keepers who has ever played. His feedback is always welcome,” he said.
Wade has so far represented the Kangaroos in nine Tests, 25 One Day Internationals and 15 T20 Internationals, having scored two Test centuries and as many fifties. On top of that, the wicketkeeper has three limited-overs half-centuries under his belt. He is considered to be a very dangerous lower-order batsman with a lot of potential but according to the critics, Wade will have to show more promise behind the stumps in order to find a permanent place in the national side.
The budding cricketer further added that Healy’s criticism was constructive and revealed that he talked to the former great on telephone after his comments.
Wade expressed, “I think there was a build-up to his comments [on radio]. I rang him straight away and had a chat to him about it. He was a little bit disappointed about what had been written and said. I'm sure he'll call me up next time and deliver it straight to me instead.”
