The former AC Siena centre-forward has gone on to state that he made some fundamental errors during the match against Sampdoria, and vows not to commit them again.

Destro went on to concede that whenever he played a bad match or had a moment where he should have performed better; he was the first one to recognise the error of ways. He went on to remark that scoring goals was the jobs of strikers, and went on to remark:
“When I play badly, I am the first to recognise it. A Roma striker has to score when he has a great opportunity. The goal is everything for a forward and if you don’t score then you start thinking about it constantly, focusing on mistakes and playing incidents
over in your mind. There’s no way out.”
