Mattia Destro was involved in one of the longest transfer sagas of this summer’s edition of the transfer window. There was interest in the striker from various fronts but the player ended up choosing the capital outfit as his next destination.
The reason for the complication in his deal and the long time that it took for the deal to go through was the fact that Siena and Genoa co-owned the player. Any decision on the future of the player would have to be accepted by both the clubs. This hampered
any deal for the player. There was heavy interest in the striker from many top Italian clubs, with Juventus, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, AS Roma and AC Milan vying for his signature.

“I learned so much with Zeman and worked a lot too! He is a Coach who teaches a great deal to forwards and I think we’re going to have a great season.”
He further went on to state the reason for the delay in his decision of joining a club. He went on to state that this had been the first time there was such heavy interest in him, and he wanted to make sure that he was at the right club.
