Giuseppe Sannino, former head coach of AC Siena, has gone on to remark on the prospects of his former pupil, Mattia Destro, and has emphasised his faith in Destro.
The former Siena centre forward has not been able to live up to the expectations from him and he has not been able to adjust as well as he had hoped to do so under the coaching of Zdenek Zeman. The transfer saga of Mattia Destro was one of the lengthiest
sagas in recent Italian history, a deal which was complicated by the fact that he was co owned by Genoa and AC Siena.
The upcoming young striker was linked with several top clubs, and there were strong rumours linking him with a move to the San Siro with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan reportedly interested in handing him a deal. There was also interest form Juventus, who have had a striker
crisis of late, and were willing to give the former Azzurrini star a chance to help them in their defence of the Lega title.
However, amidst the fervour and enthusiasm surrounding the arrival of Zdenek Zeman and the promise of a shot at going for the Scudetto, Destro signed on for the Giallorossi outfit. However, he has not found the start to his campaign with the Olimpico outfit
to be one of positivity as he has failed to make a potent impact at the club. While commenting on the prospects of Destro under the legendary Zeman, Sannino went on to comment that despite their current form and standing in the Lega, Rome would be a great
place for him to learn from.
Furthermore, he remarked that there was a great learning opportunity to be had from Zeman, and mentioned that Destro was “studying at the university of Zeman”, and went on to remark:
“It is as if Mattia is studying at the university of Zeman. The Coach is a teacher from whom to learn from. Attackers score a lot under Zeman and he needs to take it all in. His position doesn’t matter. Mattia needs to improve in all the attacking roles

Sannino has had an unfortunate start to the season, having been fired from Palermo this season.
