Mattress for 2 year old?

Question

He is ready for his big bed, and we are buying a "full" sized bed. What I am wondering is what is the type of mattress I should be getting? Firm, or soft? Pillowtop?

Without a dought pillow top, because it's not only soft but it will support him better! Im speaking from experience i have a pillow top bed myself and it's firm to support me but it's also very very soft!

First off let me suggest getting a queen size bed. The twin and full are the same length so unless you get a queen, it wouldn't do any good to get a full and in most cases full and queen prices are the same.

As for the type of mattress. I would suggest a plush mattress which is in between a firm and soft pillowtop. The child needs some firmness but also needs that comfortable top also.

When I went to Sleepy's to buy my son's first bed they said just let him pick which one he likes...the pediatrician said something firmer would help his bones grow.  Just don't make it too soft.

OMG 2 yr old??? you need a twin not a full. pillowtop definitly that is because he needs to be comfortable even if he is 2. firm is def...not comfortable for a child trust me. soft may cause back problems so i would def. go with pillowtop it is soft but not too soft and will be wonders when you set him down to sleep he will sleep very good.

hard is best, it helps spine. sounds like it doesnt but it does, soft beds create unregular spine shapes and can damage
