What would you think/do? You were talking to a shy, quiet, college girl that you always thought was sort of strange & you wanted her to open up to you. After years of trying, she tells you she was raped 2x when she was 14.

  1. Yes, absolutely be there for her. But also do some research on your own about what resources are available in your area - what types of supports, services, counselling, etc - for people with her specific issues. This way, if she comes to you looking for specific help, you will know right away where she can go to get it.

  2. Well, she obviously trusts you to open up like that to you...so I would just be there and supportive of her if she choses to discuss it further.

  3. she trusts you, keep her talking but do not mention the rape, let her talk to you about it, do not mention it let her.

  4. just be there for her since she confides in you

  5. Just be there for her. Listen to what she says and understand she probably has trust issues and the fact that she opened up to you is a big deal.
