  1. Don't say a word. Give them "the look" and walk away as if you've got wings. :)

Works a treat. It doesn't give the satisfaction of getting you irate and making a fool out of yourself, and you get the dignity of putting the joke on THEM.

Try to stay out of fights/confontations as much as possible. It doesn't do you any good.

    :)

  2. Ignore them.

Tell them they're not worth your time, you have better things to do.

And if that doesnt work you may have to go off a little, without going over the top.

  3. Well, I'm also a sophomore this year, and boy do I know all about the drama department. Most of the time though, you can avoid the drama-filled acts by simply avoiding the confrontation. As I continue to say "People are going to talk about you, no matter who you are or what you do." So, whenever something starts up, bite your lip and let people say what they have to say. No one is going to remember any of the little gossips/rumors 10 years from now anyway. Not to mention, acting as if you don't care about whatever it is they are saying is the best way to get them to quit talking about it. (A lot do it for the attention.. and because the person overreacts.)

I think you get the point.

And good luck this year :)

  4. she them who is the boss and the mature one and walk away...you don't need people like that to waste your time...show who is the mature one!! YOU GO GIRL!! lol

Good Luck on your sophmore year!

  5. ignore them, or just say something clever that will make them think and have to walk off so they have time to discover a response.

for example, "i'm sorry, i don't engage in battles of wit when my upponents are so deadly unarmed."

  6. snarky comebacks

  7. There is no way to "go off" on someone maturely.  That's part of being mature - not going off on someone, but respecting their stance, their feelings and their life.  Plus your anger is not healthy for you so being mature is realizing this and keeping your cool.  Always.

  8. Just don't say anything, or say something that doesn't pertain to what they said at all It confuses & upsets people when they think that they arent being listened to
