Maturing? Help! I am so desperate to know i had to use my dads email>?

Question

I am an 11 year old boy. I have no hair on my legs, arms, etc. My voice is not getting deeper. Is this something I should worry about???? HELP

If you are this desperate you should ask your dad but you still have time to start puberty and a lot of guys enter later if they are taking A.D.D. meds or anti-depressants. Stop worrying you will get there one day and then you will be wanting to shave hair off.

Dude - you're 11.  Don't worry about it - if you were 21, then I'd worry.  I started maturing when I was 10 or 11 - but I was considered an early bloomer.....hindsight, wish it would've slowed down a bit......just for the time.

Your time will come...don't worry.

Relax.  Signs of puberty come at all different ages.  You're only 11...you still got plenty of time.

not yet. if you still haven't begun puberty by age 14 or so, then your Dr. can do some simple blood tests to find out why. It's different for everybody, based on all kinds of things, including the hormones in foods you eat, your body's natural conversion rate of testosterone, and a whole list of other things.  There's really not much you can do about it, or should.

If it makes you feel better, guys who have early onset of puberty also tend to have male pattern baldness and a whole list of other stuff later in life. :-)

Wow, man, what's the rush??

In MOST guys puberty doesn't start until they are 12 to 14. That's START not END. Early develops are sooner, of course, and late bloomers, later. Everyone else falls in between.

For the first year, the changes are all internal anyway, as hormones start to kick in. Then all h**l breaks loose, and the externals start to appear.

So quit worrying and go out and enjoy your life BEFORE it all starts to happen.
