Maui Charities ready to take part in Hyundai Tournament of Champions
Hyundai Tournament of Champions has recently launched its new offshoot in the form of Maui Charities that will be going full scale in the year 2012.
The objective of including and the subsequent formation of this new offshoot is to enhance the sales of tickets for the golf tournament.
In turn, the revenue generated from the sales of ticket will be invested directly into the funding of charitable causes.
The inclusion of Maui Charities took place back in November 2011, so that the partner can officially take responsibilities with the start of the 2012 PGA Tour.
According to Maui County Office of Economic Development, Teena Rasmussen, “Maui is extremely proud to be hosting the Hyundai Tournament of Champions again in January. Our Maui County Office of Economic Development realizes that events such as this one continue
to put Maui on the map as not only a world class destination, but a world class place to hold athletic and sporting events”.
She also said that the ripple effect of the economy will play a pivotal role in boosting our economic revenues and helping the workforce in overcoming the losses encountered due to the recession.
Teena also appreciated and was grateful to Hyundai for being the main sponsor of the event.
She assured that the association of the prominent automobile manufacturer with the organization will help in strengthening the bonds between the two entities in times to come.
The initial cost of the ticket for the event has been allocated as $40. This entire amount will be utilised directly for charitable purposes from the total sales of the tickets for the event.
In addition to this, if other charities will show interest to become a part of the event they will be allowed to sell their supporters as well.
However, they will have to fill a Participation Agreement accompanied with a ticket order form. Other attending charities that will also be taking part in the event also include:
