Maureens Girl, the 9 to 4 favourite, beats JF Droopys Alivia in the 462m Grade A2 race at Yarmouth

The daughter of Rossacredibility out of Rough Venus, Maureens Girl, has sealed her first victory after a long gap of more than four months. Trained by A D Mcdermott, the raging b***h won a 462 meter long Grade A2 Heat, taken place at Yarmouth on Monday,
January 9, 2012.
With the odds of 9 to 4, she initiated the race from trap number two. She had a high probability to win the race, and the only threat for her was, Droopys Alivia, who was declared as the joint favourite, with the same starting price.
However, the champion b***h gave the opponent no chance to overtake her. Following her brilliant run, she crossed the wire in 28.24 seconds, grabbing the cash price of £88.
The runner up b***h, Droopys Alivia, made a fine start, but subsequently lost her pace. After breaking out of the stall, she clocked the distance in 28.95 seconds. The two joint favourites justified their high starting price by bagging top-2 places
on the chart.
However, the rest of the hounds could not perform well. The third position went to, Magellan Lad – the son of Droopys Maldini out of Rough Venus. His chances were 7 to 2 at the beginning of the Heat. C Peach’s trainee wrapped up the proceeding in 29.25
seconds, just 0.30 second behind the second position b***h.
The top trio was followed by, Petite Bosconi, who was sent off with the odds of 7 to 2. Following his discharge from trap number three, he clocked the area in 29.26, just a moment after, Magellan Lad.
Tulla Rose, and Cloncunny Pat walked away with the fifth and sixth place, respectively. Tulla Rose, the son of Charity Jack out of Wee Rose Garden, had the odds of 5 to 1, and finished the sprint in 29.39 seconds.
The Back Marker, Cloncunny Pat, made it to the finishing line in 29.53 seconds. With the starting price of 12 to 1, J Green’s trainee broke out of fifth stall to start the party.
Maureens Girl, who failed to make an impact last year, has started 2012 with a bang. Her trainer, A D Mcdermott, will now try to maintain good work and clinch more titles in the upcoming races at Yarmouth.
