  1. Your talking about 2 totally different type of RBs.  Bush was solid until McAllister went down.  When Bush tried to resume as the primary back in a single RB system, he failed.  Bush is a run to the outside RB, MJD is a power RB that is great up the middle.  The Jags line is geared for the run.  The Saints line is geared to the pass.

Thumbs up to those who agree.

  2. I am a longtime UCLA fan and saw several of his games there. I am not surprised at his skills whatsoever, but, like so many others, I was just blown away at how successful his running style has been. Yes, he is far more physical than Westbrook, but even smaller. I would say I'm surprised that he surpassed Reggie (though I never liked him as a Bruins fan :D)

  3. I remember Maurice Drew back when he played for De La Salle High school, for his age he was extremely muscular, powerful, agile, and quick.  He was like a gazelle (deer) in the ways he could manuever around Highschoolers.  He carried that style into the Pac-10, but had bad luck with injuries early on, finishing strong his jr. year.  However his consistancy / power / ability to make miss and break tackles in the NFL places him amongst the top backs in the nation.

  4. He's been a huge impact for my Jags. His explosiveness is unreal....and extremely low center-of-gravity makes him difficult to bring down.....he has good hands, and caught many a screen pass and many a pass to the flatts....he's also a stellar blocker and protects his QB well.

  5. i think his quickness and elusivness has carried him a long way, but he can break tackles too, and with his size he can sqeeze through holes where reggie is bigger and had a hard time doing that, reggie cant break tackles, he avoids them, and with the defenses in the NFL u need to be that kind of back that can break tackles, but Drew can play both ways because of his size and stregnth

  6. I remember seeing him at UCLA and I thought he would be a good player in the nfl. However, I thought he would be used more as a returner than a running back because I didnt think he could handle the ball 25 times a game. He does provide a great change of pace to Fred Taylor. As for him being a surprise to me that he has done as well as he has, its no surprise.

  7. Jones-Drew is good but he no Westbrook (2nd best in the league)

  8. no one saw this comming

  9. I know, its just wow to see people progress like that.

  10. It surprised the c**p right out of me. That guy is like an extremely speedy bowling ball. He would be an asset to any team no doubt.
