Valencia suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Camp Nou thanks to an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 long distance howler, leaving the Mestalla based outfit rooted at 17th position in La Liga points table.
A crestfallen http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauricio-c24899 Pellegrino shared that after playing a great match against La Liga runners up, Barcelona, Los Che deserved to get something out of the match. He stated that his charges were more than a match for their magnanimous rivals after tying
the Catalans down for the duration of the fixture.
The Argentine coach did not like the manner in which Barcelona got ahead on the score sheet with a goal from the corner, claiming that it is more than enough to state how they fared at the Camp Nou.
"The match was decided by a corner, our players have done a very good game. Barcelona is difficult for you not make a goal. It was a shame.”
Valencia managed to create chances in the second half but failed to disturb the scorers. Pellegrino stated that Los Che should be proud of their performance and will reap the rewards in coming matches if they continue on a similar line.
"They in the second half were not so thin on the pressure; we were able to move the ball. We do not get anything here and we're disappointed, but happy with the team's performance. Playing well going to win many matches, for sure. "
Reflecting on the fixture, the 40-year-old trainer stated that the match could have gone anyway, claiming that Valencia could have gotten a share of the spoils had they been better at finding the back of the net.
"We've been right in the end. Defensively we have been good, the team has been very supportive, have not lost his temper."
When quizzed about his first three domestic matches at the helm of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, Pellegrino revealed that Los Che are reaching their potential.
