Mauro Zarate not keen on Lazio departure but admits difficulty in staying at the club: Serie A news
Lazio striker, Mauro Zarate, has admitted that he does not want to leave the Biancazzurri but he cannot stay in the current circumstances.
The striker has had a falling out with manager, Edy Reja, and is seeking a move away from the Stadio Olimpico Rome with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan waiting in the wings to sign him. The 24-year-old refused to play in the club’s 6-0 win over Rabotnicki in the first-leg of
the preliminary round of UEFA Europa League last week. An appearance in the game would have made him cup bound and might have blocked a move to a bigger club.
The former Birmingham City star confirmed that he has no issues with his teammates and he has left his decision on the club President to decide about his future.
Talking to the reporters Zarate said, “I don’t want to leave Lazio, but it’s impossible to stay in these conditions. The future? We’ll have to see, as it’s up to the President to decide. Everything is fine with my teammates.”
The Biancocelesti have valued their prized striker at €20m but the Nerazzurri are looking for an initial loan move. Reja recently blasted Zarate for his unprofessional attitude and claimed that he has had enough of him and will not let anyone temper the
code of conduct.
The rift with the manager started after the striker had a less than impressive 2010/11 campaign and it became severe after Zarate reported to the pre-seasons having gained 5 kg’s of weight during the summers.

Zarate joined the Rome based club in 2008 and since then he has scored 25 goals in 103 appearances for the Biancazzurri.
