Max Pictures on Photo CDs?

Question

i want to know the max number of pictures you can put on one CD. Only definite answers please.

the maximum is based on cd size in megabytes, and amount of space used by images in megabytes, get info on the amount of mb used by 1000 pictures, and compare to amount of free space on one cd, a basic cd is able to hold around 600 mb of files, if each image was one mb, then cd could hold 600 images,
