Liverpool's mid-fielder Maxi Rodriguez has described the Premier League hat-trick against Birmingham City as one of the best moments in his career. He stated that it was a special moment as it came in front of the home fans at
Anfield.
Maxi Rodriguez was the star in Liverpool’s 5-0 thrashing of Birmingham at Anfield on Saturday, April 23. The Argentinean scored three splendid goals to lead his side to a crucial three points against the Blues.
Rodriguez insisted that the feat was one of his best performances in a Liverpool shirt and was delighted to score after getting his first start since March. He praised the fans and the manager for the wonderful support and hoped
that he could carry on with his goal-scoring in the coming weeks for the club.
“It's definitely my best moment in a Liverpool shirt. I have to say that it was also a great moment when I was substituted in the last minute. The whole ground gave me a reception I will never forget and Kenny also said he was
very happy with my performance, so I have to be delighted with what was a perfect day for me,” the mid-fielder was quoted as saying in an interview.
