The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 striker has heaped praise on his teammate who has been sensational since his January move from Borussia Dortmund.
FSV Mainz attacker, Maxim Choupo-Moting, has hailed the impact of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mohamed-Zidan-c26404 on the team. The O-Fives have been on the rise since the former Borussia Dortmund striker signed during this season’s January transfer window.
Zidan has been amongst the goals in every league game he has played so far for the Coface Arena outfit. He has scored six times from as many outings allowing the club to rise on the league table. Maxim showered praise at his strike
partner and admitted that Zidan’s arrival has had a significant impact on the club.
While talking to official Bundesliga website, Bundesliga.de, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cameroon-c2865 international further added: “Mo's a great footballer and he's on a great run, so obviously that helps us as a whole. He's an important part of the set-up
and a real team player, which is why he fits in so well here.”
On the other hand, Choupo-Moting also commented on his playing position at the club. He admitted that he is satisfied his current playing role despite being a natural centre forward. Moting is the only Mainz player this season
who has appeared in every league game.
The youngster stated that his priority is to continue performing for the club, not to play in his favourite position. He opined that being versatile is an added advantage and if the club are happy playing him wide than he has
no complaints against this situation.
“I don't have a favourite position as such, all that matters for me is to be playing. That's what gives me the self-confidence to push myself to the limit out on the pitch. And it's certainly no bad thing to be tactically versatile,”
the former Hamburger attacker concluded.
The striker has so far netted seven league goals for the club since joining from Hamburg last year from his 23 outings. He has 14 international caps to his name for Cameroon until now and will next be seen in action against FC
Augsburg on Saturday, March 17, at the SGL arena.
