Maxime Bussiere claims Men’s 50m breaststroke gold – 2012 Indian Ocean Meet
Maxime Bussiere of France claimed gold medal of the Men’s 50m breaststroke on second day of the 2012 Indian Ocean Meet in St. Paul, Reunion, on Saturday, December 29.
Bussiere demonstrated his commendable efforts in the playoff of the 50m discipline as he proved his mettle for the title. He faced tough contest from his closest competitor in the start but with his relentless efforts, he managed to escape him over the finishing
end for the title.
With his notable efforts, Bussiere gained a comfortable lead over his closest swimmer and touched the wall for gold medal with a timing of 28.45 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Kevin Toulet of France, who was 1.59 seconds slower and touched the wall for silver medal by producing an effort of 30.04 seconds.
The second position holder was followed by Darren Chan Chin Wah, who stayed 0.10 seconds slower from his foregoing finishers and transpired on the finishing end for bronze medal by producing an effort of 30.14 seconds.
Fourth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Guillaume Ycard, who was 0.13 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing wall with an effort of 30.27 seconds.
Ycard was trailed by Oliver Ah Ching, who was almost half a body length behind and secured fifth place by producing an effort of 30.83 seconds.
Sixth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Nathan Mandere of France, who stayed only 0.04 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and transpired on the wall with an effort of 30.87 seconds.
Seventh spot of the race was obtained by Dimitri Faubourg of France, who suffered a loss of 0.06 seconds from his foregoing finisher and concluded his race in a time of 30.93 seconds.
Faubourg was followed by Mathieu Young Tie Yang, who was 0.20 seconds away from his foregoing finisher and reached the finishing end for eighth position with the timing of 31.13 seconds.
Furthermore, Bussiere was happy with his title claiming effort in the 50m discipline and stated that he would continue his hard work to achieve the same in forthcoming swimming events.
