Maxime Bussiere pockets Men’s 100m breaststroke gold – 2012 Indian Ocean Meet
Maxime Bussiere of France pocketed gold medal of the Men’s 100m breaststroke on opening day of the 2012 Indian Ocean Meet in St. Paul, Reunion, on Friday, December 28.
The French swimmer smothered hopes of his opponents in the 100m discipline and cruised his way towards the finishing blockade for gold medal.
With his exceptional pace, Bussiere faced no trouble from his challengers in the race and captured the crown with the timing of 1 minute and 02.18 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Darren Chan Chin Wah, who stayed two and a half body lengths behind and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by touching the wall with the timing of 1 minute and 04.71 seconds.
Third position of the race was obtained by Kevin Toulet of France, who stayed almost three seconds away from overpowering his former finisher and completed the podium by winning bronze medal with the timing of 1 minute and 07.35 seconds.
Fourth position of the race was obtained by Mathieu Young Tie Yang, who was only 0.18 seconds behind and surfaced on the finishing wall with the timing of 1 minute and 07.53 seconds.
Fifth fastest spot of the event was secured by Oliver Ah Ching, who stayed 0.13 seconds slower from his preceding swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end by clocking an effort of 1 minute and 07.66 seconds.
Similarly, Ching was chased by Mamitina Ramanantsoa Tsilavina, who stayed 0.09 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and hit the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 07.75 seconds for sixth place.
Seventh fastest spot of the race was obtained by Dimitri Faubourg of France, who stayed nearly 0.60 seconds slower from his former finisher and posted an effort of 1 minute and 08.31 seconds.
Eight position of the race was obtained by Nathan Mandere of France, who stayed considerably slower from his preceding swimmer and posted a time of 1 minute and 11.03 seconds.
In addition, Bussiere was extremely happy with his gold claiming effort in the 100m discipline and articulated that he would try to please his supporters by achieving the same in future.
