Manchester City winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 dropped out of Laurent Blanc’s squad after the youngster suffered a knee injury which has opened the way for Maxime Gonalons whose performances in Ligue 1 for Les Gones have led to considerable interest from La Liga giants
Real Madrid.
The young midfielder is a product of the Lyon youth academy and has already represented France at Under-19 and 21 levels where he has made a good impression. The youngster was used only sporadically during Claude Puel’s rein as coach of Lyon but under the
tutelage of Remi Garde, Gonalons has become an integral part of Les Gones starting XI.

Laurent Blanc, while talking to the media openly declared that he is still not certain about the 23-man squad that he will take for the 2012 European championships co-hosted by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 which means that a lot of players have chances of making it
to the final squad for next summer’s Euro 2012.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 coach Remi Garde has played a major part in the development of Gonalons from a young prospect to a key player in the Lyon side and the 45-year-old Frenchman couldn’t help but hide his satisfaction at Gonalons’ recent call-up.
“It’s a great news for Maxime, first of all because it is a fitting reward for his excellent season so far,” said an enthusiastic Remi Garde while talking to the media.
Remi Garde also said that Gonalons’ call-up is also a good news for the club because his induction to the team would be the best example set for other young players training at the Tola Vologe.
However, Garde admitted that fatigue could play a major factor in the youngster’s performances as Gonalons would directly be in the Lyon squad that will play Ajax Amsterdam at home in a Champions League group game where a win is essential for Les Gones.
Gonalons has already played five full games in the space of two weeks which would mean that Laurent Blanc would be forced to use the youngster wisely in the upcoming friendlies.
