Maximiliano Bustos signs two-year deal with Montpellier – Rugby news

Montpellier based French professional rugby union side, Montpellier Hérault Rugby Club, has signed a two-year contract with the Argentinean born Maximiliano Andres Bustos. The club has confirmed the signing of the utility second row forward player Bustos
in a statement released on the club’s official website on Tuesday, June 14.
The two-year contract handed over by the Montpellier rugby club has an optional third year, provided that both parties mutually agree to extend it.
Montpellier are runners up of the 2010/11 French Top 14 as they were defeated by Toulouse 15 – 10 in the Top 14 finals at Stade de France, Paris on Saturday, June 4. They look to finally acquire the title in the upcoming season with some reinforcements added
to their squad.
San Luis, Argentina born Bustos started his rugby union career for the Argentinean rugby union side, Velez Sarsfield, in 2000. He made 169 appearances for Sarsfield before parting ways with the rugby union rugby club in 2008. The 25-year-old prop joined
Banfield based Club Atlético Banfield. Currently, Bustos will join the Montpellier from Argentinean club Universitario de Santa Fe.
Bustos joined the Italian Rugby Union Side L’Aquila, which was his first professional rugby union senior club contract. His Montpellier contract is his second professional senior rugby club contract.
Bustos is 1.83 meter tall, weighs 126 kg and is the third Argentinean player signed by the Montpellier for next season’s campaign. The club has already secured the services of the hooker Agustín Creevy and winger Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino. Agustín Creevy
is expected to replace Mario Ledesma as the first choice hooker at the end of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Bustos has represented the Argentina’s national rugby unions A team renowned as Los Jaguares. He has played against the French Barbarians, BC Bears, Canada A, Canada Selects, USA Selects, Tonga A and Russia.
The newly signed trio will be able to learn a great deal from current Pumas players at the Montpellier. The current Pumas players at the Montpellier includes centre Santiago Fernández, prop Juan Figallo and winger Martín Bustos Moyano.
