Both of these offenses are first time offenses with no prior record of anything, what would be the maximum penalty if you would just choose to plead guilty, or no contest?

  1. Based on your previous question, I am assuming you received a municipal citation for the possession of THC.  If this is correct, both of these citations are civil forfeitures meaning the penalty is a fine only with no jail time.  The OWI-1st is probably $803.00.  Add that to the possession ticket and then possibly add court costs and that's the total.

If the possession ticket is a misdemeanor citation meaning you must appear in court or you were taken to jail for it, you are being charged with a crime of possession of THC.  A criminal charge is punishable by a fine not more than $1,000 or imprisoned for not more than 6 months or both.
