Maximum bladder capacity?

Question

i want to know what is a males bladder capacity i am 16

and my friend has dared me to drink 5 litres of water.

is this possible???

Not all of the water will enter the bladder, if u are dehydrated much of it will be absorbed before it gets there. Normal bladder holds about 3 liters at the most, good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Don't forget the water doesn't just sit in your bladder, you yourself are made up of mostly water. I would say it was possible with a bit of will power. Perhaps not for a great deal of time, though.

By the way, average capacity is between 400-600ml.

the water you drink does not go in to bladder but in to our gut. normally we  need to intake 2300ml of water . so taking 5000ml is possible   because extra water will be excreted by various means.

Your bladder is about the size of a soda can. It can expand though. A woman on a shock jock radio show died from drinking too much water in a water drinking contest. She was trying to win a Wii game for her kids. She won... sort of. Just so you know.
