Question:

Maximum forgiveness Irons, Woods and Driver?

Which brand and model can provide the maximum forgiveness for the easiest swing and best game? I am a male, small built beginner & am considering between the Mizuno MX-25, Mizuno JPX & Nike Slingshot 4D. Any other brand recommendations or between the 3 models, which is best? I want a club that can help me launch the ball easily to provide the morale for me to carry on the game. Every salesman in the stores recommend based on the highest commission they can get from each set. No genuine advise from them.

  1. umm, the clubs you listedf are probably the LEAST forgiving on the market.  I would do a bit more research before buying

  2. try the adams Idea irons they are very forgiving, also the Clevland Hi-Bore family of irons and Drivers are very forgiving.

  3. Maximum forgiveness is probably from Cobra, both woods and irons.

  4. look into clubs that are "blades" versus the clubs with the concavities on theback the clubs with concavities are more forgiving and have larger "sweet spots".

  5. Why not just get yourself a decent second hand set? Any good name will do.  If you go to Callaway used (see source) you can get clubs that you wouldn't be able to tell that they are 2nd hand.  That's what I did and I am still very happy with them after 3 years.

To build confidence use your lofted irons 6-9 as much as possible.  There is nothing like seeing the ball lift to lift your confidence.

    Good luck.

PS Don't blame the salesmen for trying to make a buck - petrol prices are at the highest ever.
