May I please hear your opinions of this name?

Question

I love the boys name Troy.

I'm 29 weeks so right about now so the name game is big for me.

Thoughts? My husband and I like it but is it too uncommon?

I like it a lot. It's a very nice, strong sounding name. I think the name s Troy Ryan or Troy Matthew are great names.

I think it is a good name. I looked it up and it means water or foot soldier with Greek origin.

I think that is just uncommon enough so that everyone will have heard of his name, but all his friends won't have the same name. (i.e. Richard or william}

It's uncommon enough that your son won't have to go by his first name and last initial in school lol, but I really like it!
